Youth committee

The youth committee is a committee within the executive committee of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches. It was established in 1991.

The tasks of the youth committee are to make the voice of youth heard and respected within the Alliance and to promote the fuller participation of youth in its activities and decision-making structures; and to encourage member churches to be responsive to youth concerns and to find concrete ways in which youth can be involved in all their life and work.

Reformed youth network

The youth delegates and stewards who took part in the 23rd general council (Debrecen, 1997) played a major role in placing youth on the post-Debrecen agenda of the Alliance. They resolved that after the council they would stay together; and they have found two ways to do this.

The first way is through ryf97, the Reformed youth email network managed by Ed Chan, a young elder of the Presbyterian Church (USA). For further information about this network, click here.

The second is through this Reformed youth website, which is currently undergoing redevelopment.
